Hey guys!
January is all about starting over. A New Year, and a new outlook on life, is what truly defines the first month of our calendars. So I decided to create an image for every month with a specific theme, almost like a calendar. So starting off our calendar art...
HATCHING TULIP
The white tulip symbolizes forgiveness and worth and is merged with a baby chick hatching from his shell, which symbolizes new life. The background is a nice soothing peach/sepia-like hue to create a tranquil atmosphere.
I created this image with Microsoft Word (yes, you heard that right) using its limited photo editing options, because I lack the resources to draw, color, and edit digitally.
My signature was also added digitally using Paint, because I forgot to add it on my hard copy.
A little advice to all you young and aspiting artists out there: always sign and date your work!
I really like this one and I think that it's a good start!
What do you guys think?
Don't forget to comment below, share and follow my facebook page.
Cheers!
